Continental Drift/Seafloor Spreading by whitney

Continental Drift-Is when the continents drift apart.
4 evidences the helped prove the continents where moving.

1. Fossils: Fossils are found on two or more different continents and they can't swim the ocean
2. Mountain Range: The same type of rock from two different mountain ranges on two different continents
3. Puzzle: The continents look like they could fit together.
4. Weather: Were its tropical it was cold. Were its cold it was tropical.

Seafloor Spreading-Is when the magma comes out of the volcano at the bottom of the ocean and it  makes more seafloor.2 evidences that helped prove the sea floor was growing.1. Hess proposed that hot, less dense material below Earth’s crust rises toward the surface at the mid-ocean ridges. Then, it flows sideways, carrying the seafloor away from the ridge in both directions.2. Iron materials found in the ocean floor at different times in history were pointing in different directions.

One clue is magnetic reversals Yes.
What is the other clue?
