Continental drift/ Seafloor spreading

Continental drift is a term, no longer used by geologists, that refers to the fact that continents are stationary, but move across the Earth's surface. Continental drift is one feature of the modern theory of plate tectonics. There are clues of the continental drift. Puzzle like fit means that the continents fit together. Climate clues like glacier scares and deposits. Rock clues like similar ages and types of rocks on different continents. Fossil clues which is same plant and animal fossils found on different continents. Very Good

Seafloor spreading is a process that occurs at mid-ocean ridges, where new oceanic crust is formed through volcanic activity and then gradually moves away from the ridge. Seafloor spreading helps explain continental drift in the theory of plate tectonics.

What are the 2 proofs that seafloor spreading is occuring?
1.

2.
