1. Study of Fossil-
any remains, impression, or trace of a living thing of a former geologic age, as a skeleton, footprint, etc.
Scientist study Fossils every day to make history.

2. Embryology- the science dealing with the formation, development, structure, and functional activities of embryos.
Embryology scientists study the earliest growth age

3. Vestigial structures- it has lost much of its ancestral function.

Scientist have announced that whales have Vestigial structure.

1. Studying fossils. Fossils is  the remains or impression of a prehistoric organism preserved in petrified form or as a mold or cast in rock. An example is bones or plants in a sedimentary rock.
2. Studying DNA. DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. DNA is a self-replicating material present in nearly all living organisms as the main constituent of chromosomes. It is the carrier of genetic information.
3. Embryology. Embryology is the earliest growth stage of an organism. Some examples are humans and birds, fish and reptiles.

Evidence of Evolution

1. A evidence of evolution could be crossbreeding plants. I think it is a good example because you can change how plants look and what they produce over an amount of time. When you are cross breeding plants over an amount of time plants reproduce odd plants and then you take that plant and make it reproduce then they look like that odd plant. Then you have a different kind of species of plants.

2. Another type of evolution is pesticide resistance in insect species. An example of this is if you have a field of grass hoppers and the are eating your cops and you spray a chemical that kills them, but they all don't die and then you keep spraying them with it, they will eventual grow immune to that chemical. Then you will have to spray a different chemical.

3. DNA can also be an evidence of evolution. When a person is born they have there DNA and it is a mixture of there moms and dads. Every person is different so it makes everyones DNA different. So every day it is changing somewhere around the world and everyone has different DNA.

Evidence of Evolution

List and explain 3 examples of evidence of evolution. Support your answers with at least one picture.
1. Embryology - For example fish embryos and human embryos both have gill slits. In fish they develop into gills, but in humans they disappear before birth. This shows that the animals are similar and that they develop similarly implying that they are related and have common ancestors and that they started out the same.
.2. Fossils - The fossil record is one of the most common evidences given for evolution. These records can be dated, so they are a physical representation of evolution, such as the way that ancient fish developed a bone in their jaw over time.

3. Studying DNA -  DNA stands for  deoxyribonucleic acid. DNA molecules are complex molecules which contain the assembly for every living creature. Certain aspects of DNA have been interpreted as evidence for Darwin's evolution. DNA evidence for evolution includes mutation and genetic similarities among species.

DNA molecules are complex molecules which contain the assembly instructions for every living creature. Certain aspects of DNA have been interpreted as evidence for Darwinian evolution. DNA evidence for evolution includes mutations, genetic similarities among species, so-called “Junk DNA” and “Pseudogenes.” Here we will look at these evidences and briefly make note of some of the criticism levied against them by opponents of Darwin’s theory. - See more at: http://www.allaboutcreation.org/dna-evidence-for-evolution-faq.htm#sthash.Cd29D8JY.dpuf

Evidence of Evolution- Hannah Alden

Evidence of Evolution:
1.     Studying Fossils: many organisms have changed over time; in rocks more than one billion years old, only fossils of single-celled organisms are found. Most fossils are found in sedimentary rock. A fossil record provides evidence that living things have evolved.
2.     DNA:  by comparing DNA sequences of genes from one organism to another, we can learn an enormous amount about their relationships. DNA defines who we are, but our DNA, which encodes us, was actually able to determine its own sequence, using people as a tool for the process.

3.    Homologous Structures: they are similar in function; they indicate that two r more species share common ancestors. They are made up of the same kind of bones; body parts that are similar in origin and structure are called homologous.

1. Fossils are a great example of evolution you can look back at different kinds of species and see how they changed.

2. Relative Dating: is the science of determining the relative order of past events, without necessarily determining their absolute age. Comparing the ages of rock layers found above and below the fossil layer. The layer determines how old the thing mite be.

3. Homologous structure: is the existence of shared ancestry between a pair of structures, or genes, in different speciesA monkey can have the same size and type of hand that a human has, since Humans evolved from monkeys.

4. DNA: Deoyribonucliec acid is a molecule that  the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all known living organisms. You can sort of tell what exact species that the animal or human came from by looking at the DNA of that human or animal.

5. Embryology: The science of the development of an embryo from the fertilization of the oveam to the featis stage.

Evidence of Evolution

1.) Fossils- When fossils are dug up the Archeologist they have to determine an age of it. So they take radioactive elements to get a better structure. Then ,if it has any, you can take DNA from the fossil to compare and analyze. You then can find close relatives to the fossil and see what some adaptations were made over time.

2.) Embryology- The study of embryos and their development. The earliest growth stage of an organism. When studying the embryo scientists can find if there are traits from the parents or if there are mutations.

3.) DNA- DNA is the molecule that controls heredity and directs the development of every organism. In a cell with a nucleus, DNA is found in genes that make up the chromosomes. Scientists take the DNA from the fossil and compare it to other DNA to find out the species of the animal.

Evidences of Evolution

1. Studying fossils- The study of fossils is paleontology. Paleontologists are scientists that study bones and other types of old fossils. Usually paleontologists study dinosaur bones.

2. Pesticide Resistance in Insect Species- Pesticide resistance is the resistance that an organisms has to a poison. Humans will spray their houses to get rid of insects. The stuff they will spray their houses with is a poison called a pesticide. If the human keeps spraying with the same pesticide, the insect will gain a resistance to the poison and pass the traits down.

3. Studying DNA- The study of DNA is to look at the different types of DNA in an organism. To study DNA a microscope is needed to find what a scientist is looking for. Humans have found different DNA over the years and not all of it is the same.

evidences of evolution

1. cross breeding plants- cross breeding two plants of different species or varieties. if you cross breed a big cabbage and a small cabbage it will make either a small cabbage or a big cabbage.

2.  studying DNA- The two strands of DNA run in opposite directions to each other. scientists also study about DNA because they want to see if there is any thing wrong with the DNA.

3. studying fossils-  people study fossils to see how old they are and what kind of fossils they are. people also look for fossils to see what kind of fossils they find.
