Vocab n' Stuff


Habit- A habit is a place where an animal lives. A habitat provides food, shelter, and is located an area with a suitable climate.













Population - All living organisms in a ecosystem.



Biotic - Anything living, or that was once living.


Biosphere- the regions of the surface, atmosphere, and hydrosphere of the earth (or analogous parts of other planets) occupied by living organisms.





abiotic- physical rather than biological; not derived from living organisms.



biotic- of, relating to, or resulting from living things, esp. in their ecological relations

Vocabulary In Action

Biosphere- The Biosphere is the top portion of the Earth which is called the crust. The crust consists of all of the water, land, and all living organisms on Earth.






Ecosystem- An Ecosystem consists of all living organisms in one area. 


Community- All of the Populations that live in an area
