Limiting Factors By Spencer

A limiting factor is anything that restricts the number of individuals in a population. Limiting factors include living and non- living features of the ecosystem. A limiting factor can affect more than one population in a community.

Some biotic limiting factors are competition, predators, and population density. Some a-biotic limiting factors are droughts, tornados, and temperature change. These are some living and nonliving limiting factors.

In the picture to the left is an area of a drought. This picture is an abiotic limiting factor the drought is going to hurt the animals in the area because they need water.

A biotic limiting factor would be two animals competing. This is a biotic limiting factor because two living animals are fighting and one of them is not going to get the resources it needs.
